One of the annual traditions when I was in high school was the boy’s basketball tournament blizzard. That was mid-March, so I know what you’re talking about! I just had one of those days that left me feeling as though my brain was frozen. I hope body and mind both thaw, and sooner rather than later!
That little tendril’s been sitting in my files since last spring. All this time, the possibilities for word play never crossed my mind. Then, last weekend, they sprang to mind, I sprang into action, and my little bit of spring was sprung upon you — with no fiddling around.
You’d better believe there is — cabin fever, that is. We don’t have the snow, of course, but rain and fog has become wearisome to say the least. I escaped this past weekend, but now I’m heading home to — more rain and fog.
Sometimes a picture really is worth a thousand words……
If there’s anything that can equal the fun of a little word play, it’s a little word-and-image play.
This is a good picture for someone who’s tense to sit down in front of and unwind a bit.
It would be a good way to turn present tense into past tense, don’t you think?
Well said!
Glorious.
Sometimes, I just can’t help myself!
I’m ready!
Aren’t we all? Sping, sprang –sproing!
I’m glad to see that! After the winter we’ve been having, I was beginning to wonder what “Spring” looked like.
Let’s hope winter explodes soon, and there are springs lying all over the place.
Got sprung.
I have this wonderful image of Spring being sprung from prison, and roaming freely again.
This shot is cool and also funny. Put a smile on my face and a spring in my step. 🙂
It won’t be long until your springs thaw, and you’ll be stepping out in a good bit more comfort.
Yep! :) We’re all use to blustery Februaries, and just ignore ’em!
What a joy!! Thankfully, February is the shortest month. Of course, March doesn’t mean Spring here, as you’ll recall, but a body can dream, can’t it??

I am eager to see our fiddleheads return for their slow unwinding. Great image for the wordplay.

Oh boy, well that one certainly answers that question… (Whether there’s such a thing as “Cabin Fever” down Texas way; )

Yeah, think I’d rather have snow; )
At least with snow you can go sledding or snowshoeing. With fog, all you can do is sit around and drip.
Hah, wordplay to the max. Thanks for the smile.
What a delightful pun!
I’m glad you think it’s a good one. I wouldn’t want you to feel pun-ished!
Welcome, Spring! :-) <3
And none too soon for most of us, it seems!
Ups, went off too quickly. I wanted to mentioned your excellent wordplay. Well done! :-)
Sometimes, it’s enough to just have a little fun, don’t you think? I do!
Absolutely! :-)
Hahaha….love it!xxx
A little laughter is good for the soul!
Love, love, love!!
I’d say that all we need is love, but on another morning filled with no-visibility fog, I’m more inclined to say, “All we need is spring!”
Wow!
Isn’t that fun? I liked the photo, but I really enjoyed turning it into a bit of visual humor.
so zen!
Now I see a coil of incense!
